Ashley Alstatt
Clinician
Ashley’s passion and specialty is in working with our younger children using play based treatment methods. Ashley knows that play is a child’s most natural form of communication and loves entering into their world and seeing play become the vehicle for change and healing in her client’s lives.
Ashley loves working at Family Hope House because she’s drawn to the unique family makeups that are represented in the families we serve. “I’m honored to walk alongside them as they navigate their strengths and hard moments.” Being able to work in a supportive, collaborative and fun environment allows Ashley the resources she needs to engage in her favorite part of the treatment process…”the hard middle”…that place where you can see what needs to change and rely on little changes each week, little by little.
Ashley is trained to provide specialized treatment using sandtray therapy, Interpersonal and Social Rhythm Therapy, grief work and trauma informed practices. Ashley is an adoption competent therapist and is specially trained to work with all members of the adoption kinship network.
Ashley has been dancing since she was three years old. In addition to being a terrific therapist, Ashley is a dance instructor.
