The desire to add to your family through foster care or adoption is a big one! Families, couples, and individuals who decide to add another member to their household should always go through a process of self-reflection and consideration of your reasons for placement. Whether you are a long-time foster home or someone just considering fostering or adopting, this month is for you! We are going to explore questions you can ask yourself, and your other household members, before deciding on each new placement. We will also discuss how to communicate your decisions to others and how to stand firm in your boundaries when you feel pressure to change your mind!

Family support night is hosted by Legacy Family Network, who partners with Family Hope House to provide educational content to assist foster, adoptive, and guardianship parents utilize attachment-focused and trauma-informed parenting skills.
